Birthday bliss

This little easter rabbit had a birthday this week ….and the frog took me off for a wonderful weekend in Normandy.

Even though I have been to Normandy before – I can never tire of the beauty. After an overnight with the mother of the frog – Madame Frogette – eating our full of easter eggs…we ventured on the coastal route taking in the seaside towns of Honfleur, Deauville, Trouville, Carbourg…then turned in land where we came across some gorgeous typical Norman homes – which really stand tall and proud and if we ever found one for the right price we’d snap it up! It’s so nice to dream.

Froggy booked us into a gorgeous manor – which in fact we had stayed in around 5yrs ago. We checked into a beautiful room 5 times the size of our Paris flat! It was filled with huge dark timber furnishings and a king size bed. After dumping the bags we went off to explore the little village up the road – viewing a lovely old church, fed some Normandy horses and drooled over some grand old homes. Back to change for dinner with a lovely glass of bubbly to start it off.

We got back to our room…I kissed the froggy..and poof …he turned into a prince…which made it easier for me to roll him over and get back into my juicy novel…ahhh bliss
